Financial Advisor, Edward Jones

Sessions: Pave the Way for Professional Success

I am Denver Native and first generation American born to parents who immigrated from Mexico. My native tongue is Spanish and learned English when I started elementary school. I am the first in my family to go to college where I received my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and master's degree in Industrial Engineering.

I am an active Prospanica Member and for the past 4 years have served as the Corporate Relations Member on the Denver Prospanica Chapter Board. I joined Prospanica to surround myself with a community of like-minded individuals who shared the same vision of empowering the Hispanic Community and one another.

I started my career in Florida as a Test/Manufacturing Engineer at Mark Two Engineering with the manufacturing of medical devices and titanium implants. Transitioned to its sister company, Locust USA, where I conducted research and development on gas turbine engines and generators. I worked with the DOD, DARPA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and US Army FCS on various projects. I returned to my native Colorado to work at GE/Baker Hughes on power generation control systems. I served clients locally and globally through new product design, implementation, manufacturing, continuous improvement, managing base cost, P&E and P&L budgets, and mentoring.

After 20-plus years in the engineering field, I joined my husband as a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones. Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. I made a personal decision to pursue my passion and become a role-model for my daughters. To make an impact in the lives of families in my community, build relationships and help others pursue their dreams, to "Live a life by design, not by default."

Our financial health determines so much of our life's trajectory, and it is an honor to help my clients organize, plan, protect and transfer their wealth.

There are so many questions surrounding the topics of building wealth, retirement and income distribution, social security, wealth protection and college savings. Having a personal relationship with a financial advisor you trust can make a significant difference as we work to make these complex topics easier to understand.
