Helene Marie Cruz is the Director of Employer Relations and NYC Campus Partnerships in the Career Services Office at Pace University, where she builds and maintains relationships with employers who participate in recruiting programs to hire Pace students and alumni. She has also held positions at Pace such as Assistant Director MBA Programs and Services and Director Career Counseling. Helene has previously been a member of Prospanica and has presented to students on two occasions at a regional event and a national conference (under the organization’s previous name, NSHMBA).

Outside of Pace, Helene has presented at conferences and has facilitated workshops locally and regionally for non-profit organizations, corporations, and academic institutions.

Prior to her twenty years at Pace, Helene worked in the human resources arena for over ten years in several companies representing various industries: retail, financial services, advertising, media, and an entertainment union. She graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Pace University and a Master of Science in Education degree (concentration in counseling) from Fordham University. In November 2012, Helene authored a book, which is autobiographical in nature, entitled An Eternal Affair, published by West Bow Press (a division of Harper Collins) and through the same company, just released her second book, Joy Comes In the Mourning, in January 2022. She has been a member of and has served at various churches and ministries throughout the five boroughs of NYC since 2005. Helene currently lives in Queens, New York but spends her downtime in Florida.

Over the past 30+ years, Helene has proven herself to be a beloved human resources and career services professional, relationship builder, leader, coach, professor, facilitator, and author.
